Corey Lee has been developing his own special skills for over 25 years.

His company philosophy is "To share and create a smile on one's face through my art, And offer quality products at a reasonable price, with excellence in customer service."

Corey Lee is a local born, raised, and educated individual of Hawaii. Living here in paradise he also develops and creates all his products on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

At the tender age of 7, Corey Lee was given an art assignment to draw a picture for school. All his fellow classmates drew stick figures and Corey produced a detailed drawing of a tiger in motion. He studied animals in motion at the zoo to figure out how to position the legs. After turning in his drawing, his 2^nd grade teacher called his parents in for a conference. No student wanted a parent-teacher conference, thinking only of the negative. Little did he know, it was to let his parents know of his raw drawing talent. The tiger was displayed in the school's office.

For the next 5 years, Corey attended art school to hone in on his art abilities and fulfill his art desires. During this period, his drawing of a mynah bird was selected to be shown on television on a children's program. He also studied art in high school and college. But all along he believed that business was a realistic profession.

For the next 10 years after high school he studied Sales and Marketing and worked as a Manager and Supervisor for 3 major retailers in Hawaii. Gaining knowledge and experience, he attained the necessary skills to move on to the next step in his life. A business proposal was placed in his lap and he signed up into a partnership for the next 2 years. It was a tough lesson to learn that partnerships are very difficult, but he attained the knowledge and experience to venture out on his own and build a new and exciting business. 2008 has been a huge challenge due to the decline in consumer sales and Corey has returned to the work force. January 2008 to October 2008, Corey was a Manager at Times Supermarket. Presently, he is a Advertising Specialist at Longs Drugs, where he creates the tabloids and additional graphic deisgning duties.

As of today, Island Core has been featured in the Midweek Magazine, Pacific Business News, Hawaii Parent Magazine, Ben Franklin Craft’s Island Craft Bulletin, Tiny TV, and on the radio at KQMQ 93.1 FM.

On March 20, 2000, Island Core was established and is here to offer unlimited service to all customers by listening to and fulfilling their needs to his best ability. With the help of family, friends, and loyal customers, this company is growing to be very successful. Corey develops his own line of clothing and designs to share to the world and bring a smile to one's face.
